Meet the Pleasanton Team Behind Servo Garage Doors Pleasanton
We’re the crew that shows up when your torsion spring snaps at 6 a.m. or your opener’s logic board quits on a holiday weekend. Every technician here works under The Haven Standard, which means a written price before any wrench turns, a photo record of what we found, and a 365-Day Done Right Promise on every repair and installation. Marcus Deller built this team from one van in 2015 to what we run today: background-checked, uniformed, and trained to name the part and the price before we start.
Our People
Marcus Deller, Owner & Lead Technician
I started Servo in 2015 with a used service van, a spring winding bar set, and a rule I borrowed from a mentor in Hayward: the customer sees the failed part before anyone quotes a replacement. That’s now Clause 4 of The Haven Standard. I still run calls myself, mostly torsion spring replacements and the tricky commercial jobs other shops pass on. I hold a C-61/D-49 California contractor license, and I keep it on the truck, not buried in fine print. Off the clock, I restore vintage motorcycles in a garage that’s way too small for the number of projects I’ve accumulated. My wife says it’s a problem. I say it’s inventory management.
James R., Senior Installer
James joined us in 2019 after eight years installing Clopay and Amarr doors for a big-box retailer that shall remain nameless. He specializes in full door replacements and new construction installs, the kind where the rough opening isn’t quite square and the trim carpentry needs coaxing. He’s certified in wind-load installation for the gusty corridor along I-580 toward Livermore, where building inspectors actually check the reinforcement strut spacing. James carries a laser level he treats like a family heirloom and has a running bet with Marcus about whether any given ranch-style home in Ruby Hill has a 16-foot or 18-foot door. He’s wrong about half the time and won’t admit it.
Ana T., Service Coordinator
Ana answers the phones that ring at 2 a.m. when someone’s garage door won’t close and they can hear the opener motor running but the trolley carriage isn’t moving. She’s the live voice behind our 24/7 line, not a recording or a callback queue. Before she joined Servo in 2021, she spent six years dispatching for an HVAC company in San Jose, so she knows the difference between a customer who needs reassurance and one who needs a truck rolling in twenty minutes. Ana keeps the schedule honest, which means she’ll tell you if same-day service is actually available or if we’re looking at tomorrow morning. She bakes sourdough on weekends and brings the extras to the shop. The rye with caraway is better than it sounds.
Derek M., Apprentice Technician
Derek came to us in 2023 through a trade program at Chabot College in Hayward. He’s working toward his own C-61 license and currently handles safety inspections, weather seal replacements, and the simpler opener repairs where it’s usually a limit switch out of adjustment or a stripped trolley carriage gear. Marcus pairs him with James on full installs and rides along on spring jobs until Derek can safely wind a torsion spring without supervision, which is a bigger deal than it sounds, those springs hold serious tension. Derek grew up in Dublin and knows the older Pleasanton neighborhoods where the original Raynor doors from the 1990s are finally giving out. He plays bass in a band that practices too loud in his parents’ garage, which is how he got interested in door hardware in the first place.
One Standard, Every Job

The Haven Standard travels with us on every truck. It’s not a corporate handbook sitting in a Pleasanton office, it’s the checklist we run on every call. Clause 1 means you get a flat, written price and written scope before we touch anything. Clause 4 means the technician photographs the failed part before quoting a replacement, and you get that photo record when we leave. The 365-Day Done Right Promise means if we miss something, we make it right, with terms you can read, not a handshake you hope gets remembered.
We’re independently owned and operated here in Pleasanton. Haven contributes the documentation system and the standard we agree to work to. We hold our own license and insurance. When you call (510) 398-4466, you reach Ana or one of the team, any hour, any day. We’ll name a technician, send an on-the-way text, and show up in a uniform with a background check you can verify. That’s the standard. These are the people.
